Childwar actor John Ridsdale, who starred in a number of TV shows including The Bachelor, The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelor South Africa, is set to make his return to the screen in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

News24 has learned that the actor, who has not been seen on screen since 2014, will be appearing in a film called The Emperor’s New Groove, which is being produced by DreamWorks.

The film will be released on October 21, 2019.

Ridsley has been in Australia since 2015 and is rumoured to be in talks to return for a future appearance in a Star Wars film.

He made a brief return to Australia in 2017, where he starred in the hit TV show The Bachelor.

Rides a motorcycle in The Empire Strikes Back, in the same role he played in The Force Awakens.

In a 2015 interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said he was “delighted” to be back in Australia for a third time.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to Australia.

It was such a big adventure in Australia, and it’s such a beautiful country.

I’m really excited to be here.”

The Empire was the first of two films Ridsly starred in in 2019.

The second was the much-anticipated sequel The Force Unleashed, which was released in December 2020.

Riddell has been an advocate of the use of prosthetics for prosthetic limbs since the mid-2000s.

He has appeared in numerous films and television shows including the Emmy nominated drama Series 9, as well as the sci-fi series Star Trek.

In the film The Emperor has returned, he will play an officer of the Empire.
